History of Jumpin Jacks Java Promise:  I told Jack he would see his name up in lights on Route 1 in Hampton, NH one day.  I made him that promise in the fall of 1992.  Little did my good friend realize that I wasn’t kidding.  During the summer of 1995 I had a vision and I realized that the coffee business was the place to be.  Reality set in 10 years later in 2005 when I decided to pursue my dream.   The world of coffee beans, lattes and cappuccinos was the next chapter in my life.  I wanted to be the one to give every individual a  quick break in the hustle and bustle of everyday living.  A single drive-thru wouldn’t be enough.  It was time to introduce the Double Express Drive-Thru to Happy Hampton.  My friends, family and previous customers told me a double drive-thru simply couldn’t compete against the “big guys”.  If anything, that motivated me to succeed against franchises such as Dunkin Donuts, Honey Dew Donuts and Starbucks.  My promise to myself was to create a franchise.  With patience and time, I would try to fulfill my promise. The concept was perfect, and the name had to be just the same.  Anybody that knows Jack Lessard knows that he’s always “jumpin”, never stopping.  Throughout the years Jack has been, and still is, one of my best friends.  He has inspired me to “follow my dream and never give up.”  In his honor, the name Jumpin Jack’s Java was created to illustrate Jack’s  enthusiastic, charismatic and loving attitude. The concept of Jumpin Jack’s Java reflected the fascinating 50’s where everyone was all about having a good time.  Those ideas were going to fuel the Jumpin Jack’s Java environment.  Therefore, the 1950’s was reflected in the design of our building on Route 1 in Hampton, NH.                                - Nick Birmbas, Founder  Tips:  The Scholarship Fund
